Donations Supporting Outdoor Education
The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority provides opportunities at their conservation areas for students and youth/adult groups to learn about our local natural environment. Our Foundation helps fund these programs. Pre-school age children to adults engage in year-round, guided hikes which focus on the plants, animals, soil and waters of the lower Thames River watershed. This unique and rare Carolinian Life Zone is explored through a unique blend of Indigenous knowledge and western science through active outdoor learning. Sites include Longwoods Road Conservation Area, Ska-Nah-Doht Village and Museum near Mount Brydges and the C.M. Wilson Conservation Area near Chatham. In class options are also provided.
Your donation to Outdoor Education programming will go a long way to help teach children and adults how to protect our environment for today and future generations.
